This painting is on a piece of plywood Victoria found on a dead-end street out walking her dogs. She loves the way wood makes colors more vibrant. Like most of her paintings, Victoria starts without a plan, and prays the entire time she paints for God to steer her creation. She then recognizes images within the painting, and will further enhance them by continuing to paint. Within this creation is seven crosses, an image along the top depicting Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt, David in the center with a helmet on, multiple fish representing Jesus as the Fisher of Men, a dove, and a crab. She says the swirls are representative of the swirling emotions she often feels while she is painting.
This is a commission piece Victoria created for a customer who wanted a depiction of the Scripture-based phrase His will be done.
This painting is Victoria’s logo, and a self portrait that – like most of her paintings – was supernaturally inspired. Victoria holds a deep faith in God, and Jesus Christ as our savior. She prays continually while painting and often doesn’t even recognize herself what the image represents until she’s done. Often, there are multiple images within images, and usually she recognizes the spiritual significance within.
